Invisalign
A person’s smile can have a huge impact on their self-esteem. If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and wished for straighter teeth, there may be a better orthodontic solution for you than traditional braces.
What is Invisalign®?
The Invisalign clear aligner system is an effective cosmetic dental treatment that has been used for many years, with excellent results, to straighten teeth, close gaps, and correct bite issues. It is a system of invisible, removable aligners that most people won’t be able to tell you’re wearing.
Invisalign® vs. Braces
Traditional metal braces are great for straightening teeth and correcting many orthodontic issues. However, Invisalign offers many benefits over metal braces. A typical Invisalign case takes between five months and a year to complete treatment, which may be substantially shorter than traditional braces depending on the individual case. Unlike metal braces, you are able to remove your aligners and eat and drink with virtually no food restrictions. In addition to being able to eat the foods you love, the ability to remove the clear aligners makes brushing, flossing, and regularly scheduled cleanings an easier task than working around the wires, bands, and elastics of metal braces. Another concern many have when considering braces, especially adults, is the impact of metal on their smile for long periods of time. Invisalign uses a system of almost invisible aligners, custom-fitted to your teeth to gently and gradually move them to their optimal position.
How much does Invisalign® cost?
In most cases, treatment is comparable to the cost of traditional braces, however, only an evaluation with your dentist can determine how much Invisalign costs for you. Each case is unique with unique circumstances.
In the U.S., the cost of Invisalign treatment ranges from about $3,500 to $8,000, with the national average at about $5,000. If you would like determine how much Invisalign would cost for you, please request an appointment with us. We'd love to have you as a patient!
Does your dental insurance cover Invisalign®?
Because dental insurance benefits differ from policy to policy, you should review your personal coverage plan and check with your insurance provider. In general, if a patient has orthodontic coverage, Invisalign should be covered to the same extent as conventional braces.
We accept many insurance plans, including, but not limited to Delta Dental, Stanislaus Foundation, Cigna, MetLife, United Healthcare, Blue Shield of California, Anthem Blue Cross, Guardian, Ameritas, Principal and more.
